Local property consultancy Trinity Rose has partnered with Fountain Community Café and Fair Oak and Horton Heath Parish Council, on a project to deliver a new café building on the site of the former Scout hut at Shorts Road, Fair Oak.
The project will be funded in part by council donations, with the remainder generated by the café operator’s own fundraising efforts and a crowd funding initiative. The new building will offer a permanent café facility offering eat-in and a takeaway service to users of the park adjacent, with the building being positioned overlooking the children’s play area.
The Fountain café currently operates from Windows at Wyvern College in Fair Oak, every Wednesday morning and is a local initiative of St. Thomas’ Church in Fair Oak. Staffed by a team of volunteers, it provides a valuable service enabling members of the local community to meet. The café has recently launched a mobile service with its own truck which will be seen at a number of local events. By moving to a facility of its own, the café will be able to extend its offering to local residents in a vibrant and welcoming environment, adjacent to the popular local park.
Trinity Rose is providing architectural design, cost and project management advice to the project team which includes representatives of Fair Oak and Horton Heath Parish Council and the Fountain Café.
