Estate Planning and Valuation of Independent Schools

Case Study

We were instructed by one of the leading independent schools in the UK to conduct an assessment of its residential property portfolio of over 100 properties.

Our instructions were to review each property, providing a summary report on its condition and setting out a schedule of recommended repair and maintenance works.

In addition to this, each property was the subject of an updated assessment of Market Value and Market Rental Value, conducted in accordance with the RICS ‘Red Book’.

This was an exercise carefully coordinated with the college Estates Department and involving a team of surveyors over a 12 week period.  Our reports were centrally coordinated and delivered as a master executive summary report, backed up by an individual property report as an appendix.
