Design and Planning Pre-purchase Acquisition Survey
Case Study
Following a detailed acquisition survey prior to the purchase of a landmark Grade II Listed dwelling that had fallen into disrepair, we were retained by the client to develop a specification of remedial works which formed part of a wider plan to refurbish and extend the property.
Working with the Local Authority Conservation Officer, we were able to provide supporting information to obtain consent for the works, which included the removal of previously unauthorised alterations and the design of a new, modern glazed extension which brought together the two principal sections of the property which ranged in age from medieval to Georgian.
We provided the client with a management service which involved drawing up packages of works for a series of specialist contractors, obtaining tenders, overseeing works on site, coordinating the various contractors, quality management of the works and cost management.
