Case Study

Since 2014 we have been engaged by a private property investor, to conduct biannual reviews of the declared values for insurance reinstatement purposes of their portfolio of over 50 commercial properties across the UK.

The properties range in use including shops, light industrial and licenced leisure, and vary considerably in terms of age and construction type.

Due to the nature of this type of instruction, our assessments involve a mixture of site inspection / measurement and assessment of plans / drawings.  Inspections are typically carried out on new additions to the portfolio; following amendment or alteration to an individual property, or due to the effluxion of time since a previous visit.

Our team is expert in collecting relevant information to enable an accurate assessment to be carried out, supported by accurate, up-to-the-minute specialist cost information provided by the Building Cost Information Service (BCIS).
